Cancer Bad - Pneumonia Good?
Well the boy is in the hospital. He was in lots of pain yesterday when we went to feed Chemo Sabe so the doctors decided that a stay and tests were in order. They were looking for 1. Blood clot in his lungs, 2. pneumonia, 3. kidney infection, 4. cracked rib (from coughing) 5. cancer rearing its ugly head. So yesterday was kinda scary. Today is much better.
After many tests pneumonia won. The pneumonia is located in the lower right quadrant which was causing the pain. Considering the alternatives, I think that’s pretty good news. They are giving him antibiotics and heavy duty pain drugs.
The REALLY good news is the CAT scan showed that the cancer has stabilized from the last scan in February. This means that Chemo Sabe is working!
The bad news is that Bob has to stay at St. Luke’s Hospital until the end of the week.
More to come, so stay tuned and keep those prayers coming his way.
Thanks,
Sue

Bob and Sue,
Thanks, Sue for giving us this latest news. Even though its not good news that Bob is in the hospital, I was relieved it wasn’t worse as Mary Anne let us know Bob was having unexpected problems yesterday and extra prayers were in order.
So the very good news is you found out early that the new drugs are doing some good, which is very, very reassuring. I’m so glad for that — good chemo sabe, good! Love to you both. Stephanie

I would have thought Bob could have ruled out the cracked rib as wasn’t that one of his many injuries when Steph pulled him up on the beach with the tube? Thinking of you both, love and prayers (at least from me, remind me to tell you how we found out Mike is probably Jewish, explains alot).

So sorry to hear that Bob is in the hospital. Sometimes you just need to have that special medical attention. Glad to hear the cancer is stabilized.
It was great to see you both on Saturday. Take care of yourself and tell Bob that we are thinking of him.
Love you both, Dianne & Mike

Sue and bob, glad to hear that the chemo treatments seem to be doing their job. Pnemonia sounds like the best senario…..that is treatable.
MA has been keeping us up to date but I want you to know that you are both in my prayers. I know what you are going through and the ups and downs wear you out…..but keep the faith. Prayers for the doctors that are taking care of him are needed too.
I am hear and can be witht you in a moments notice….please dont hesitate to call me.
Love and prayers to both of you and Kelly too…..Mary Beth

Skippy,
So glad to hear that Chemo Sabe is coming to the rescue…just like he did with the Lone Ranger!
Sorry you have to be in the hospital and also sorry that the nurses have to get a behind view of you in a hospital gown! Not a pretty picture.
I am sending you positive thoughts and good vibes!
Take care,
Mary Anne
