to my # 1 son:

I think I have finally become a computer nerd....I had to so I could tell you how much I love you and wish I could be with you more often but I
would probably be a basket case. You have always been my rock.
You surely do have lots of friends. I am so happy for you. Hope to see you Sat. or Sun.

Much love and prayers.

Little Brother,

It is tough for me to say things to you for all to read. But, I want to confirm what so many have already said. You are loved!

There are people who will live to be a hundred who will not make as many people laugh and smile as you have already. You have so many friends and all with memories of how they have enjoyed you.

Just so you can rest easy, I have forgiven you for hitting me in the head with the toy hoe.

LOVE YOU,

     JEANNE

I love you Uncle Bobby and always have. I have a fond memory of you taking me to a carnival when I was 6 or 7. I am not sure why I remember it so much, except that is a place my mother would hate to go to. Ha Ha My prayers are with you, Sue and everyone else. Love,

Dear Bob,

It was so great being able to talk to you and Sue after all of this time. I am really grateful for the opportunity.

Of course you know they say you can tell a lot about a person's character by how they react in tragic circumstances. Your character and courage have been outstanding and truly amazing. You, too, Sue.

We are all dying; most of us just don't know how or when. I'd say you have the "how" part down.

As one who doesn't want to leave my funeral to chance, I have communicated my wishes to everyone who will listen, hoping to ensure my own memorial.

I want to be cremated, and after a month or so (so anyone who wishes to come to California to say good-bye can get cheaper tickets), I want my family to lease a huge yacht and have a lot of expensive, REAL champagne, not the 4 buck stuff I usually drink. I want Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin music playing as the yacht goes out three miles off the coast of Newport Beach. I believe 3 miles is the law for releasing ashes.

When my family is ready to let my ashes go, I want Bobby Darren's song "Le Mer" ("Somewhere beyond the sea...) to play while everyone toasts my memory with a glass of champagne. Hopefully, someone will be smart enough to tell the direction of the wind!! That could be messy, but hey, not my problem!

After that, I want everyone to continue drinking back to shore and then go out for a nice dinner to celebrate (not mourn) my life.

Andrew is still a little wary of it, but hopefully, he'll come around.

I hope you can feel the prayers coming from California and the wishes for peace.

Love

Dear Bob,
Inspiration is not a word connected to many people, but you are that for all of us.

I am having a bit of trouble connecting that to the bright orange corduroy short shorts you wore to my house so many years ago, but I guess inspiration can take many forms.

Love to you,

I can imagine you & Hank having a few chuckles over whatever the rest of us are doing down here, or trying to outdo each other with jokes. You better be prepared as Hank has a stockpile of funny stories. Love and prayers to all of you, including your mother, your not suppose to lose a child of any age (and with your antics we're not sure what that age is).
