I am really grateful for the opportunity. Of course you know they say you can tell a lot about a person's character by how they react in tragic circumstances. Your character and courage have been outstanding and truly amazing. You, too, Sue. We are all dying; most of us just don't know how or when. I'd say you have the "how" part down. As one who doesn't want to leave my funeral to chance, I have communicated my wishes to everyone who will listen, hoping to ensure my own memorial. I want to be cremated, and after a month or so (so anyone who wishes to come to California to say good-bye can get cheaper tickets), I want my family to lease a huge yacht and have a lot of expensive, REAL champagne, not the 4 buck stuff I usually drink. I want Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin music playing as the yacht goes out three miles off the coast of Newport Beach. I believe 3 miles is the law for releasing ashes. When my family is ready to let my ashes go, I want Bobby Darren's song "Le Mer" ("Somewhere beyond the sea...) to play while everyone toasts my memory with a glass of champagne. Hopefully, someone will be smart enough to tell the direction of the wind!! That could be messy, but hey, not my problem! After that, I want everyone to continue drinking back to shore and then go out for a nice dinner to celebrate (not mourn) my life.
