I keep thinking of Bob and Hank down at the lake....between Bob's orange shorts and Hank's stretched "up" socks....they make quite a pair. Boy did they both have a lot of hair back then!!!!I know they are watching all of us and wondering why we are sad......they are happy and not in pain and no trouble breathing.....we are sad because we loved them so much and they always made us laugh......so now we keep their memories with us and always remember their humor and love for all of us.!!!!!

God bless us all Mary Beth

ODE TO BOB
April 27, 2007

Our paths they crossed many years ago,
A friendship was started, and destined to grow;

In the bright lights of Vegas there was time to play,
Win or loose on the spreadsheet, it sometimes would say;

High up on the deck of a large cruise ship,
The adventure was yours, on a wondrous trip;

Wearing orange would bring comments and some thought was strange,
But that was your standard, no need to change;

On the porch taking time to enjoy a smoke,
You made us all laugh, with always a joke;

On the road you knew the exact time it would take,
Even with all those pit stops, for Heaven’s sake;

Golf club in hand you would walk to the green,
Ignoring what numbers, on a score card would mean;

Dressed in red white and blue by the pool you would be,
A proud fashion statement, for all to see;

With line in the water and bait on the hook,
The catch would be yours, no matter the time it took;

With wonderful child and loving wife at your side,
You withstood all the hardships, and took them in stride;

Stretched out on white sand all covered with oil,
You baked in that tan, almost to a boil;

You had a wild nature sometimes hard to tame,
But always “all-in”, regardless the game;

Standing by your side right up to the end,
We know you are with us, and will see you again,
For these are the memories we hold dear, of a friend.

Sue
I guess everyone is just stunned. The end for Bob seemed to come so quickly. I'm thinking about you. I hope you can stay as strong & courageous as you have been these last few months . See you soon.
Love,
Regina

Sue, I 've never met you. I sure wish I would have known Bob better. If a man is judged by the quality of his friends and family, Bob was a real Star. My Deepest Sympathy, Steve Loecher Thanks for letting us follow your journey even though it was tough to do.
